A dye-sublimation printer is a computer printer that
uses heat to transfer dye to a plastic card, poster paper or printer paper.
This is usually done by laying one color at a time using a ribbon that has
color panels. Many dye-sublimation printers use CMYK colors.
A lot of professinal and consumer dye-sublimation
printers are made and used for printing photographic prints.
Dye-sublimation printers have increased resolution and
printouts last a lot longer. Dye-sublimation printer printouts are also
water proof not long after being printed. So using this type of printer does
have some advantages.
