Printer Ink Refill Kits
You don't have to empty your wallet every time
you need to refill your printer. Using ink refill kits is a lot cheaper.
It's easy to refill your ink cartridges and it'll probably take you less than
five minutes.
Ink refill kits usually include
ink bottles, syringes and step by step directions. Some refill kits include a
hand drill to so you can make a hole in the top of your empty cartridge if you
need to. And some kits include an air balance clip for balancing the air inside
the cartridge to make sure the ink flows properly.
It's best to buy ink refill kits
that are specifically made for your printer. And It's always best to refill your
cartridge before it gets empty so it doesn't dry out or clog up.
Steps for using Ink Refill Kits:
* Fill the syringe with ink over a
newspaper or over the sink to prevent any mishaps.
The first step is to fill the
syringe with one color of ink. Different printers hold various amounts of ink.
Look at the instructions that came with your ink refill kit to see how much ink
your cartridges require.
Make a small hole for each color
chamber in the top of the ink cartridge. Insert the needle through the hole and
slowly press to release the ink. Refill the ink cartridge slowly so no air can
get in and cause the ink to foam. The ink cartridge already has breather holes
in the top of it so you don't need to cover the holes.
If you have any ink left over you
can put it back in the refill kit ink bottles. If you have more than one ink color it may be
best to label the syringes and only use them with only one color each. Clean the
syringe with water and dry it so you can use it to refill other ink cartridges
or so it'll be ready the next time you use it.
After you refill the ink cartridge
and put it back in the printer you should run the cleaning cycle one to three
times. It's good to let the ink cartridges sit for a few hours after using ink
refill kits to give the pressure in the cartridge time to stabilize.
