Specialty Media

High resolution paper, banner paper, glossy photo paper, glossy photo cards, high gloss photo film and t-shirt transfers are types of specialty media.

Dirt or fingerprints on the print surface will make the print quality poor, so handle media carefully by it's edges. For directions on loading and handling specialty media see the instructions that came with that media product.

Media to Avoid

Don't use the following kinds of media because they could cause poor quality print images, or they could damage or jam the printer.

paper that is folded, wrinkled, wrapped or curled

damp paper

extra thick or thin paper

picture postcards with pasted stickers or photos

sealed envelopes or envelopes with self-sealing flaps or overlapping flaps

paper with holes, like loose leaf paper.

When using specialty media make sure that the glossier/bright side faces up to avoid touching the print side. Always follow the instructions that came with your media for ink dry times and specific details.
